Founded in 2016 in Tbilisi, Kvartali FC began as a grassroots football initiative driven by local enthusiasts, aiming to establish a safe and inclusive urban football platform for diverse social groups. The club was recognised for its work in youth development, women’s football, inclusivity, and a volunteer-driven foundation, receiving the UEFA Grassroots Award in 2025.
Since 2020, Kvartali FC has fielded a women’s senior side in the top division of the Georgian Women’s Football League, achieving silver in 2022 and 2024 and bronze in 2023, with players regularly involved in national youth and senior squads. The men’s senior team has competed in the top division of Tbilisi’s amateur league since 2016. In 2022, the club established an academy for boys and girls of different age groups, combining grassroots participation with structured development, providing pathways towards elite levels of the game.
The club also offers educational and career opportunities within football and is engaged in grassroots initiatives across Georgia, with a focus on inclusivity and access to the game. Kvartali is managed by a volunteer workforce that supports daily operations and long-term sustainable development.
Looking ahead, Kvartali FC aims to consolidate its academy and youth programmes, expand opportunities for women and girls, and strengthen its role in the community through stable partnerships and sustainable football projects.
