UEFA’s annual Grassroots Awards have recognized FC Kvartali with the Bronze Prize in the category of Best Amateur Club.
The Tbilisi-based club was distinguished for its inclusive football model, bringing together over 260 players across boys’ and girls’ youth teams, a women’s league team, and a men’s amateur league team. This broad structure highlights Kvartali’s commitment to creating opportunities for both male and female players at different levels of the game.
The award was presented today to the club’s Honorary President, Iako Khomeriki, by the President of the Georgian Football Federation, Levan Kobiashvili.
About the UEFA Grassroots Awards
Since 2010, the UEFA Grassroots Awards have celebrated the best clubs, projects, and initiatives nominated by national associations and federations across Europe.
Each year, UEFA’s 55 member associations propose candidates from their countries. In every category, UEFA presents gold, silver, and bronze prizes to recognize outstanding contributions to grassroots football.
The Best Amateur Club award shines a spotlight on organizations that promote inclusivity, operate across multiple layers of the game, and make a positive impact on their local communities.
Alongside Kvartali’s bronze recognition, Haka (Finland) received the silver prize, while the Norwegian club Smørås was awarded gold.
